Welcome to 2026:FMCC President’s message

As we enter 2026, I am honored to serve as President of the IFMA Facilities Management Consultants Council.

We are working in a period of real volatility. Institutions are under pressure. Expectations are rising. Resources are constrained. No single consultant, firm, or country has the answers on its own.

What we do have is something more powerful: a global community of practitioners who see the system clearly, who understand how facilities, people, and decisions intersect, and who are willing to engage beyond borders to improve how our profession shows up.

This year, my focus is simple and deliberate.

First, strengthening collaboration across regions and markets. The challenges facing FM organizations are remarkably consistent worldwide. When we share insight, methods, and hard-won lessons openly, we raise the standard for everyone.

Second, encouraging contributions within our circles of control. We cannot fix everything. But each of us can improve how we advise, listen, diagnose problems, and help clients move from reaction to intent. Progress is built through disciplined action, not commentary from the sidelines.

The FMCC exists to be a place where thoughtful professionals connect, challenge one another, and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of facilities management as a discipline.

I look forward to working with many of you in the year ahead, learning from your perspectives, and helping create space for constructive, practical leadership across our community.

Here’s to a year of collaboration, clarity, and purposeful contribution.
