IFMA FMCC Live Webinar – “The Coveted Operations & Project Manager Positions: You Got There; How Do You Measure Success & Advance Your Career?” Date: March 19th, 2015 Time: 1:00 – 2:00 PM Eastern Time Zone (USA) Presenter(s): Lloyd Richards Jr., President, JLR Events and Logistics LLC Overview:
Many directors and managers of operations and venues are highly productive and successful employees that ascend (or in some cases fall) into the role of head of operations for large or multiple venues. There are rarely FM training programs for the transition in most companies; and often the new leader is placed in learn-as-you-go situations. Regardless of the industry or use of venues, there are certain trends and best practices that lead to success as an operations and venue managing professional. This session will identify some of the elements that lead to being a successful head of operations and venues. The presenter will focus on management skills and project management that can be applied broadly, delivered in a story-telling style.
1. Learn how to become the go-to source and trusted expert.
2. Learn how to measure success and advance your career as the head of operations and venues.
3. Acquire some keys to success.
4. Discover why relationship management is a critical communication element that is often overlooked.
