FMCC Immediate Past President Val Moraes will be presenting a keynote address, The Art of Influencing the C-Suite – FM Perspective, at World Workplace China, September 13-14, 2018
About the presentation: Most facility management managers are strong operations management experts. Because they are very good at crisis management, they are often referred to as excellent “firefighters” and “caregivers.” These knowledge, skill sets and technical experience can lead you to a smooth career. At the top management level, the success of the facility management manager is not only the use of tactical decisions to deliver services and guide the right career direction, but also the use of strategy, leadership skills, and a broad understanding of FM. To achieve success in individuals and organizations, this is not enough and not good enough. The facility management manager must act as the influencer in the top management. The first condition for achieving this goal is to have a deep understanding of the top management and master the planning position of the top management. What skills, certificates and developments are able to sneak into and influence top management?
