Seeking Subject Matter Experts to Advise IFMA Research

Role – IFMA Director of Research and Operations Nickalos Rocha is organizing a group of
Subject Matter Experts (SME) to help update two IFMA FM Human Resource & Salary related
reports, with the added objective of measuring the FM market size globally. The work is
advisory.
Nick is seeking two FMCC members familiar with FM staffing to serve with practitioners and
academics. The working group will total 10-12 people from multiple global regions.
Especially helpful would be for the FMCC members to come from widely separate global
regions.
Jake Smithwick, who you may recognize from recent IFMA webinars on topics such as surveys
and RFPs, will take on the bulk of the work as a contractor. The SME role carries prestige and
published credit.

Time of commitment – First meeting will be in mid-late September, then one or two 30-minute
meetings per month to advise in creating a survey. When survey returns are complete, work
switches to review of draft reports, which can take place at intervals for as long as 6 weeks.
