A recent Georgetown University report predicts that 31 million jobs will become available as baby boomers retire, and another 24 million new jobs will be available by 2020. This huge shift requires that organizations, including IFMA and its components, prepare for these changes. Honing leadership and teambuilding skills, as well as understanding the need for and how to develop succession plans, will be the focus of this interactive presentation. Preparing FM’s to lead their organizations, as well as preparing IFMA leaders to better manage their components will include the learning objectives of this session, as well as specifics for setting up and executing effective succession plans. Taught by two former IFMA leaders, Kathy Roper and Teena Shouse, their researched techniques, as well as tips and tricks of the trade will be shared in an interactive session with participants providing questions and specific scenarios for discussion during the workshop presentation.
