Teena Shouse shares the best practices of Planning and Networking that proved successful for her, leading to numerous Executive and Board positions.
“Inspired Leadership is getting that person so excited, intrigued or challenged, that they are truly moved into action”
Many cultures value people who have gained career and life experienced. And if we are smart, we should to. This week we explore Veteran Leadership with legendary leader Teena Shouse.
After enjoying almost 30 years in different Executive and Board-level roles, Teena Shouse is enjoying teaching, speaking, golfing and an occasional consulting. To say that Teena has earned her stripes is an understatement.
“Invest in yourself just like you invest in your 401k”.
Teena grew her leadership expertise while serving as a General Manager for over 18 years at Telecommunications giant, Sprint. She has Chaired the Board of Directors for the International Facility Management Association and the Global Facility Management Board of Directors. Both of these Chairperson roles enabled her to influence on an international basis. She has also served as the Vice President of Client Services for Facility Engineering Associates until founding her own company, “FM Transitions” in 2016.
“I just want to be known as someone who has left an imprint on someone else’s life in a positive way.”
Over her career, Teena learned some valuable lessons that she graciously shares with our listeners on this week’s episode of Inspiring Leaders. She shares the value of envisioning your future, networking and cultivating quality relationships.
“It’s not about how many business cards you collect or LinkedIn connections you have. Learn about people and what is most important to both of you.”
