ISSA Conference Discussions

Tuesday, October 16th, 2018

In partnership with the IFMA OMHS Community (O&M, Health and Safety), Rufus Martinez and David Reynolds, with Ben Goudy, and arranged by Patrick Okamura, will present three discussions at the ISSA (The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association) conference in Dallas on October 31. The three are openings to collaboration in all respects between outsource cleaning providers and FMs. Topics are environmental considerations (from IAQ to economizing on materials), cleaning costs versus quality in constantly changing uses of space and occupant needs/expectations, and how/why FMs use data for planning and performance. We will hit on several technology areas that improve economy and quality for cleaning provider and FM. Cleaning tends to be vulnerable when mid year budgets don’t work out as planned in other areas. The optimal approach in this instance is that FM and the cleaning provider be responsive to one another and get the best possible results in the right ways and places.
Cost and quality, always a tradeoff, but with plentiful room for improvement.
