“A day in the life in the digital workplace – new experiences enabled by connected things” live from Belgium
Overview:
Real-time data analytics, paired with the Internet of Things (IoT) is enabling the creation of workplaces that are smarter, more flexible and more responsive to workers’ needs.
Workers get real-time guidance through mobile apps, inforrming them for example of which meeting room is free or where to find a colleague.
When user data, generated during the course of the day, is aggregated and analysed over time, workplace managers gain insight into collaboration patterns and how people actually use the space, enabling them to optimize room occupancy and design more effective, activity-based work environments.
This talk will demonstrate value from real-life cases, e.g. how a large European banking organization combined big data from occupancy & activity measurements with the Leesman Index of workplace productivity, to design its future workplace. The presentation will share outcomes and learnings.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the impact of IoT and big data on the workplace experience
- Explain the difference between real-time and aggregated data analytics
- Understand how IoT big data can directly link service delivery to user satisfaction
- Demonstrate the value from a real-life case
