Tuveson Head shot

April 13, 2015                                                         ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear FMCC Members –

Today, we learned that Kit Tuveson, long time IFMA/FMCC member, Past President of FMCC, IFMA Past Board member, mentor and influencer to many, passed away after battling with cancer for a quite a while. He was courageous and in spite of his own physical condition, encouraged others to the very end and passed away peacefully. It is incredible how many people say they owe their IFMA involvement due to a conversation initiated by Kit. It was because of the way he lived his life through mentoring and dedication to the FM profession, the Board decided last year to honor his name to our annual “FMCC Kit Tuveson Scholarship” award.

On behalf of the membership, we will be sending our deep regrets to his beautiful wife Afton and their family.

“We will miss you always Kit, and are grateful for those conversations.”

Hug the ones you love.

Warm regards,

John Ringness,
SFP, MRICS President, FMCC (2013-2015)
President, NEXT FMS Vancouver, Canada

    Kit,
    You will be missed!
As an Associate Member of IFMA-OC you were one of my first contacts and BFFs of my now 23+ years experience with the Association!
You will be missed, but, not forgotten for your giving contributions to this life!
    Always, Bill Tucker

  2. David Reynolds says:

I have Kit’s voice in an FMCC podcast from just a few weeks ago. When we spoke, I realized that the character and content of IFMA materials long familiar and my CFM studies last year reflected his thoughts and experiences. Of course they would.
We all carry his work forward.
