“ISO 55000: Changing the Conversation”

Overview:

ISO 55000 “Asset Management” is the new international standard for the management of a facility’s assets. While its origin may be industrial, the standard applies to all types of facilities and assets; and is equally effect for small to global organizations. The policies and procedures of the standard will directly align management of the facility’s assets with the organization’s objectives. Through aggressive asset management, organizations will not only realize improvement in cost-effective operations and a balance of operating expenses, maintenance expenses and capital expenses but also realize improvements in the environment of the facility.

For years we have been talking about improving facility performance, establishing consistency in services across our portfolios, improving the quality of the delivered services and most important improving profits. ISO 55000 provides the opportunity to address each of these areas. ISO 55000 provides the opportunity to change the conversation around the facility’s assets to focus on realizing the value of the assets.

Learning Objectives:

This webinar will provide: • an overview of the ISO 55000 Asset Management program and requirements, and • explore the potential benefits (the business case) for implementing an ISO 55000 program.
