FMCC President’s BLOG – March/April 2023

On a recent conference call with other IFMA component leaders, we all agreed that post-lockdown an enormous challenge for us has been engaging with our membership. What worked pre-Covid may no longer be relevant and so new ways to reach out and interact with our membership is now required. On the engagement front, there have been some recent developments here at the FM Consultant’s Council.

For example, following a survey to our members, is the discontinuation of the FMCC App. The App was the one stop for our members (and public) to network with other members and to promote the particular skills of our individual members. The App also provided updated information about the FMCC Board, events that were happening, and World Workplace. The costs of maintaining the App increased sharply and with the survey, it was identified that the App was no longer a viable engagement tool for our membership.

In order to pursue active engagement with our members we are now actively rethinking our newsletter (sent out every second month) and our website. We are close to updating both and we hope you will find value in the new features they will have. We also have events planned for the coming weeks and months – we hope you can register and attend these as your schedule allows.
